Kai Cenat and Adin Ross to Battle It Out in a $50,000 NBA 2K25 Challenge

Kick streamer Adin Ross has been challenged by Kai Cenat for a $50,000 NBA 2K25 faceoff. Adin, who allegedly paid over $10,000 for his copies of the game, has had some time to get used to the game mechanics, but that really doesn’t mean much – Adin isn’t the best 2K player in the world by any means.

On the content side of things, Adin and Kai haven’t been able to stream themselves playing the new 2K25, limiting their practice. Ronnie2k said:

“This shouldn’t be a huge surprise… If you are in possession of a copy of NBA 2K25 before Wednesday and stream it without express written consent from 2K, you are subject to a break in terms of service. Better to think twice!”

However, that doesn’t mean they haven’t been putting in some hours off-stream.

The only real content to come out about the game so far was Adin’s bizarre experience with the face scan feature, which made him black.

How Kai Cenat Planned to Get Around Adin Ross’s Twitch Ban

Plain and simple, as things stand now, Adin Ross is banned from Twitch, meaning he can’t stream and can’t appear in anybody else’s stream. However, after lamenting about not being able to include Adin Ross on his Minecraft Hardcore stream with IShowSpeed, Kai is trying to force it.

Kai Cenat called up Adin live on stream as he was testing out the character creation, calling him out for not playing with him.

Kai said:

“Why do you not play 2K with me? Why do you never want to play with me, bro?”

Adin simply responded with:

“I am banned, Kid.”

In response to this, Kai stated:

“Yeah but I’m not playing Adin, I am playing Adam.”

For those who may not know, a while back Kai did in fact bring Adin on stream under the name “Adam” to avoid the ban hammer. For a couple of minutes, Adin could be heard on Twitch, despite his ban.

Upon hearing this, Adin quickly warmed up to the idea and lit up, stating:

“Oh f*ck it, when do you want to do it? Tomorrow? Tonight?”

The two then tentatively planned to host the stream on September 4, 2024, but Twitch staff quickly put an end to the stream idea, at least for now. The two will likely try to pull the event through in one way or another. Kai may not stream the event, or they could make it a lot more impromptu, making it hard for Twitch to ban them.

Nonetheless, it’s great to see Adin get back to his gaming roots after going down the edgy route for so long.
