WestCol Becomes Kick’s Most Followed Streamer Drawing 1.6 Million Viewers

Popular Columbian streamer WestCol surpassed Kick’s golden boy Adin Ross, becoming the most followed creator on the platform.

This occurred during a massive stream for Stream Fighter 3, a competition pitting popular content creators against each other in boxing matches. During this stream, WestCol was also able to pull in several million viewers, peaking at over 1 million for a time, completely shattering the previous record on Kick.

Through this huge viewership, he gained several hundred thousand new followers, hitting 1.6 million by the end of the event, beating out Adin by a small margin.

In response to the achievement, Edward Craven, the CEO of Kick, tweeted congratulations to the streamer. He stated:

“Congratulations to @westcol

for being the first person to break 1,000,000 concurrent viewers on Kick.

An even bigger thank you to Westcol for trusting in Kick’s vision from the very beginning, and also helping introduce us to the incredible LatAm community 🙏

Gracias a la comunidad latinoamericana por elegir Kick.”

Realistically, Adin will eventually take the crown back in terms of followers, especially with how much WestCol bots his views, which is not uncommon among Kick streamers. Still, it was great to see somebody take Adin’s spot even for a couple of weeks or months. However, the record for concurrent viewers will likely be held by WestCol for quite a while, considering his number dwarfed even Adin’s Donald Trump stream.

Stream Fighter 3: Bringing in Over 1 Million Viewers

As we mentioned, WestCol has had some issues with viewbotting in the past, but his large events always pull in crazy viewership. The Spanish speaker has become the go-to creator for Latin Americans on the platform, and now that he’s the most followed, his clout is only going to grow.

Stream Fighters 3 brought together many of Latin America’s top streamers in a way they rarely interact, so the staggering 1,606,312 peak viewership really isn’t all that surprising. The real kicker is that he was able to average 1,040,428 viewers over the whole stream.

For reference, YouTube streamer Ludwig put on a similar type of event a year back, his Chess Boxing tournament, and that only brought in a quarter of the viewership WestCol managed.

This could just be a symptom of the Spanish streaming audience growing at an unprecedented rate, but it is also definitely due to the quality of WestCol’s previous two boxing events.

In response to the monumental stream, KickEspanol tweeted:

“Congratulations to @WestCOL for being the first to reach 1M viewers on Kick 🔥We keep on pushing our butts so that the live broadcast doesn’t fall 😬.” (Translated)
