Is There a Double Standard for Streamers on Kick: Asmongold & TrainwrecksTV React on Destiny’s Ban

Famous streamer and internet personality Destiny has found himself in some hot water with Kick and X after making cruel comments about an individual who passed during the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.

Now, Destiny has never been one to shy away from controversial topics, as he was even open about his failed open marriage, but Kick.com executives evidently felt he went too far when speaking on the firefighter who sadly passed in the Pennsylvania shooting.

When speaking on the Trump supporter, Destiny said, “This is the f*cking retard that got killed at the Trump Rally? F*CKING LMAOOOOO,” and “Don’t you mean the bleachers he wanted to die on,” about the victim.

He then doubled down upon receiving a sea of criticism, stating, “never apologizing for the way I treat conservashits in this country.”

Now, this isn’t too crazy of a take for Destiny, but the victim here was a father who was shielding his young daughter from the fire, a real hero.

This inevitably led to Elon Musk himself responding to a couple of his Tweets, demonetizing his whole account. Kick.com soon followed suit, temporarily banning the streamer from their platform.

This reaction from a streaming platform may seem normal from the outside looking in; however, getting banned on Kick takes some real effort.

You can’t just go around wishing death on a group of people and then expect nobody to bat an eye, regardless of your political standing; it’s not surprising he finally found himself banned.

Asmongold and TrainwrecksTV’s Take on the Kick.com Ban

Asmongold and TrainwrecksTV have been vocal about the situation from the get-go, stating that while they don’t agree with anything Destiny said, the ban was too far.

Asmongold, in particular, has been a huge proponent of free speech for years now, even when he is coming under fire.

When talking about the ban, Asmongold said, “You can take away partnerships, you can maybe take away other things, but actually taking him off the platform when you have people who are committing felonies regularly, that’s insane.”

When talking about Kick as a platform, he also said that he likes the fact that you can “say bad sh*t and not have to worry about it.”

Now, that’s not to say streamers get away with anything and everything on Kick.com; it’s just that bans are usually quite short-lived.

However, Destiny’s ban was about as short as they come, as TrainWrecksTV spoke to the upper management at Kick on Destiny’s behalf. And since then, he has continued to talk crap about Trump voters and the people who died in the shooting.

Immediately following the ban, Destiny tweeted, “The Deep State would definitely hire an incompetent 20-year-old shooter with an un-scoped rifle to do the job.”

It’s very unlikely we will ever see another ban like this on Kick, especially considering how fast it was withdrawn. But at least Kick is sticking to its morals as a streaming platform that lets you say what you want with little to no moderation.
